As we approach the summer break, the childlike excitement is all pervasive!!!

It's a time when we at St.Columba's, wish that our students and their families stay safe and bond like never before.

Keeping in mind several requests from parents, during interactions lately, we have tried to strike a balance between academic revision for PA1 and fun filled activities!!! There is a week by week capsule lined up for you.

Please visit the last post on all your regular blogs for an update on the holiday homework. Please note that the submission for these assignments will be when the session resumes in July!!

Holidays Homework (2020-21)
Class 10 – Computer Science

Work for Week-1
1.       Make sure that all the theoretical question-answers covered in the blogs are noted in your Computer Science notebook.
2.       Maintain a folder to keep the copy of the programs you will create during these holidays.

Work for Week – 2
3.       Try all the programs, shared in blogs till now, practically on computer system and then keep them in your folder.

4.       Go to the link https://www.w3schools.com/python and explore the following topics:
a.       Python Operators
b.      Python If…Else

  1. Income Tax Department of a country has made the following new tax slabs:
Income
Rate of Tax
Below 200000
10%
200000 and above
20000 + 20% of Income more than 200000
You are required to write a program in Python to accept the income of a person and calculate and show the Income Tax as per the slabs shared above.

Work for Week-4
  1. ABC Airline Service Pvt. Ltd. has offered the following fare list for Delhi to Mumbai
Class
Fare
Business Class
Rs. 10000/-
Economy Class
Rs. 4000/-

If a person wishes to avail in-flight meal services, she/he would be a charged and extra amount of Rs. 700/-.

You are required to make a program in Python to find the amount a person needs to pay to travel from Delhi to Mumbai.

7.       In a hospital every patient is required to pay per day room charge as follows:

Rs. 1000/-
The payment can be made either in Cash or through Debit/Credit Card. There is a discount scheme according to the mode of payment:

You are required to develop a program in Python to help this hospital in calculating the total amount a patient is required to pay as room charges at the time of billing.
